Sasha Bakhru's Publications

Below are a selection of peer-reviewed manuscripts and conference presentations I have contributed to as a co-author in laboratories at Johns Hopkins University, Columbnia University, SUNY at Albany and the New York State Department of Health's Wadsworth Research Labs. I am an active member of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), Society for Biomaterials (SFB), and Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and have served as an officer of the student branch chapters of BMES (president, Columbia University, 2002), IEEE EMBS (co-founder and president, Columbia University, 2001), IEEE (vice-president IEEE, 2001) and SFB (e-board graduate representative, Johns Hopkins University, 2005) during my time as a student.

While at Columbia, I was involved in planning the first annual IEEE Student Technical Awareness Conference (STAC) and initiated the merging of the student branch chapters of the IEEE EMBS and national BMES at Columbia to form the Columbia University Biomedical Engineering Society (CUBMES).
